Would you like to stay in a pet friendly home that has been furnished and prepared especially for you to just move in with your clothes? Everthing is supplied for a long, medium or short stay, but we specialise in temporary homes for people requiring mid-term stays. Families whose own home is being renovated or repaired, UQ lecturers on assignment, workers based in Brisbane for an extended contract, executives on relocation. This is a suburban environment, so is not suitable for groups seeking a party venue or holiday makers who will be keeping late hours. Auchenflower Townhouses & Studios. This 1940s original Queenslander was converted into flats in 1960 and in need of love. We rejigged the floor plan and fully renovated the two upper level townhouses in late 2015. They each feature twin queen ensuited bedrooms, and both bedrooms have an adjacent sleepout with extra bed, (Queensland speak for closed in verandah space). The right side has been decorated in cool greys, aquas and lime shades. The left side features the warmer reds, oranges and beige tones.
The twin studios opened March 2016. Fully self contained with private access and air conditioning, perfect for singles or couples seeking comfort in a quiet space.
Located just 3kms (1.8mls) from the CBD this is the perfect postion for guests who would like to experience suburban Brisbane living and still have ready access to the city. It is positioned close to Wesley Hospital, Lang Park (Suncorp Stadium for those under 40!) and University of Queensland.
TOWNHOUSE REVIEW:
Jenny's property was the perfect place for our small family to stay. The house had everything we could possibly need and had a great homely feel. The sleep outs were brilliant for our boys they loved having their own little space but were still close to us. I loved how there were two bathrooms one which included a bath for the kids. There was also a great outdoor area to quietly relax and watch the kids play. Auchenflower is lovely and quiet but you're also still very close to the city and shops. Jenny was fantastic with communication and was so lovely to deal with. We would definitely stay again.

STUDIO REVIEW:
After staying in hotels and self contained apartments across the world, I can honestly say, the Milton Mews studio is one of my favourite places. We initially booked for 5 weeks, however we were so comfortable, we extended for another 4 weeks. Jennifer and the team are absolutely spectacular hosts and I cannot thank them enough for allowing us to be guests in one of their properties. The Studio apartment is spacious with every necessity included, you simply have to move in with your clothes! The location is beautiful, walking distance to the city bus stops as well as beautiful Mt Coot-tha. The vetting process in relation to all guests ensures a peaceful stay for all and to be quite honest, it was much like living next to friendly neighbours.
I cannot recommend the Rylance properties enough and I would urge you to book directly with Jennifer. The rates direct were far more competitive than on other sites, including the availability... it is not a lie, she is available 24/7!! Thank you so much Rylance Family!

There are 2 mirrrored townhouses on the upper level. Both have 2 queen bedrooms, 2 ensuites. One ensuite has 2 way access and one has a full sized bath. Each bedroom also has a door going through to a sleepout, (for non-Queenslanders, that means an extra room that's not quite as big as a bedroom!), each with a either a king single bed or a day bed/futon. The sleepouts can also serve as a dressing room, study or storage.
The living areas are beautifully furnished and are pleasant and open, and come with TV and DVD and Wifi and Foxtel included. We include a selection of DVDs and books for you as well.
Sliding doors take you out to the covered pergola with barbeque and outdoor seating. Your backyard is private, and if you are renting both townhouses there is a connecting gate for easy access between both homes. The back garden and side areas are fully fenced for children and pet safety. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, and excellent quality appliances. Each side has its own washing machine, dryer, outdoor line, iron and spare bar fridge. Keypad entry with your selected 4 digit code. No keys required. Fully ducted air con throughout.
Each studio has private side access and no keys are required as you select your own 4 digit code for keypad entry. The spacious apartments are fully self contained. The queen bed enjoys some privacy behind the nib wall which separates the sleeping area from the TV lounge. The flatscreen TV has a built in DVD player and there is a selection of books and DVDs and wifi internet of course. The lounge is a sofa bed.
There is a full sized bathroom with a front loader washing machine and iron. The kitchenette has a convection builtin hot plate, good sized fridge, convection microwave and breakfast bar for 2. Each side features a remote controlled reverse cycle air conditioner as well as a ceiling fan. There are security bars and privacy blinds on the windows.
GREAT STUDIO. We have stayed in the red studio for several weeks and enjoyed every moment of it. The place is fabulous you have everything you need and is kept in an excellent condition. Jennifer the owner is a lovely lady and very responsive one when ever we needed her she was there for us. The location is also a benefit. I am surely recommend it to all my friends that need a home in Brisbane.

Calendars are accurate, however it's always worth asking if your preferred property is available, as some bookings are under our Best Fit Policy. This means guests are willing to move to another home, that may even include moving to another property in our Brisbane network.

*BEST FIT POLICY: Our minimum stay is 28 nights, unless your booking is last minute, adjoins another reservation or fills a gap. Sometimes we can make you an offer under our Best Fit Policy.
You will be given the possible houses available for your dates and if there is any home that does not suit, let us know and we will make a decision as to whether we are in a position to make an offer. In the event your first choice home is not available and the new one offered is less expensive, you will be charged the lower rate. If the home you are offered is more expensive, you will not be charged extra for the upgrade. WIN!

Why Auchenflower?Auchenflower is the perfect location for Suncorp Stadium (Lang Park) attendees, to watch visiting teams succumb to our local sporting heroes and have somewhere magical to return to relive the event. Handy base if the city, Wesley Hospital or University of Queensland are among your visit sites. Nearby, Paddington, Rosalie and Milton boast some of the most fabulous cafes and restaurants Brisbane has to offer. Buses leave every 10 mins or so to the city and Fortitude Valley, from 300 m away. Alternatively, Auchenflower train station is a ten minute walk. The Brisbane Botanical Gardens is only a three minute drive (2km) away, and is a stunningly beautiful location for a picnic or walk through the 56 hectares of gardens. One of the top 3 Brisbane visitor sites is just up the hill. Mount Coot-tha offers an impressive panoramic view of Brisbane and is a great spot for a bite to eat, either at the cafe or Summit Restaurant. |
PARKING: There is offstreet parking for 4 cars, 1 per unit.
DISPOSABLES: We supply some starter disposables as a complementary service. They are not renewed during your stay.
LINEN: The optional linen package includes - sheets, pillow slips, bath towels, pool towels, face washers, hand towels, bathmats, tea towels. If you choose to supply your own, the pillows, pillow protectors and mattress protectors, doonas, blankets are supplied at no charge
SERVICING: If you would like to engage our cleaners for linen change or house clean during a longer stay, please ask for a quote. If you choose to look after this yourselves, there are washing facilities, some basic cleaning products, vacuum, broom, mop, dustpan. Full laundry with front loader washer, dryer, iron and ironing board.
PETS: We have our Spice Dogs - Chilli and Basil - black and tan dachshunds, so we know that pets are people too. We can't say we are a family friendly business if you can't bring some of your family with you to stay in our homes. We have some conditions to you bringing them, (we have some conditions for people too), and have developed quite a good "responsible pet owner radar" and apply it ruthlessly! Sorry, but no pets in season or excessive hair shedders. Not permitted in the carpeted areas nor on furniture. Please clean up after them inside and out. We supply pet bowls as well.
